I encourage you to take an honest inventory of not only what you’re doing, but why you’re doing it.

When you’re doing the inventory list, look at your inventory list and see if there is a reason, you’re involved in doing those things. Ask yourself what your priorities are. One of your priorities should NOT be to keep everybody else happy by doing all the things they want you to do.

But your priority # one should be to live a life that you can enjoy. That may look like asking yourself each time someone wants you to do something for them “Am I doing something for them they could do for themselves?” If you are then you are enabling them to continue to rely on you.

Living a life that you can enjoy means to live a life of self-love. This translates into caring for yourself first and then you will be filled up to give to others.

How did it look? how many things are you doing that fear is involved in or that you’re doing because of fear of rejection, not pleasing others, or saying no.

“Live” your dreams not your fears

Instead of doing things because you’re afraid of what will happen if you don’t, stop and think about your future.

Do you think to yourself?

  • Someone will get angry
  • I will be left out
  • People will talk about me

It’s time you remove the stress of other people’s expectations of you and become the person you really want to be. It’s time to reach out for your dreams.

What are your dreams? Have you ever thought about that? Make another list of things that you’ve always wanted to do or have. When you’re making your list write down what you want no matter how crazy it sounds or impossible it seems.
