How to manage Anxiety, depression, and words. Plus Christmas gifts for you!!

Welcome to my Blog

What words are you speaking today?

Are your words positive about yourself and your own life?

Did you know… Words negatively spoken can create anxiety and depression in your life. Yes, somehow it always gets back to your thought life again and what you’re thinking. That is why it’s so important to journal your thoughts because your thoughts create the words that come out of our mouths that are negative or positive.

Yes, I too used to speak words that were negative or were used to tell tales about people that did not want things to be told about. But I learned that words could hurt others and words can hurt us.

So now I watch what words come out of my mouth, so I won’t be a talebearer who violates others’ confidence, but rather be a faithful discreet person who has the ability to keep things concealed. I learned through many trials and errors to be a person who can listen carefully and speak with discretion.

Why it matters…Is that something you struggle with? We all do. What can you do to be a better steward of what you say? So here is a little exercise to do to learn how important it is to speak, view, and treat yourself and others with grace and kindness. If you learn to treat yourself with grace and kindness you will speak good words for yourself and others.

What to do…

How we speak to ourselves:

  • In truth, not lies.
  • Without pent-up anger
  • Building up, not tearing down.
  • According to what is needed at the moment.
  • With grace, not with clamor (yelling) and slander.

How we view ourselves:

  • Without bitterness, wrath, anger, and malice.
  • Gifted, talented, courageous.

How we provide for ourselves:

  • Working hard so we have something to share with ourselves and others.
  • Focused on our work but taking the time to play.

How we treat ourselves, especially when we make mistakes:

  • With kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness.
  • Giving ourselves grace knowing that we are enough
  • With love and compassion

What jumps out at you when you read the above list? In what ways would you like to treat yourself in more loving and compassionate ways?
